Stephanie Jones, Office Manager (Charles Town): Callahan Counseling Services welcomed Stephanie to our team in 2012. Stephanie has 12 years of experience as an office manager in the mental health field and serves our staff and clients with a wealth of knowledge in medical billing as well. Stephanie's experience with Callahan Counseling Services was crucial for our recent expansion into Charles Town. Stephanie's warm smile and professionalism welcome our clients as they enter our door, and her efficiency and tenacity reflect our dedication to our clients' needs. In addition to her position here at Callahan Counseling Services, Stephanie is also the mother of five beautiful children.
Peter J. Callahan, LICSW, ADC-S, CCFC, ICADC is a Licensed Independent Clinical Social Worker, Licensed in West Virginia and Virginia. Peter is an Alcohol and Drug Counselor and is an active member of the WV Certification Board of Addiction and Prevention Professionals (WVCBAPP). Peter is also a Clinically Certified Forensics Counselor through the American College of Forensic Counselors. He has been appointed to the West Virginia School of Medicine as a Clinical Instructor.
Peter has developed numerous community-based programs and continues to work with local and state agencies. He sits on several state committees to improve the quality of care for those in need. Peter has worked with many schools in the area as well as with a variety of authors in the mental health and addictions field.
Peter has served on the West Virginia Certification Board of Addiction and Prevention Professionals (WVCBAPP) in many capacities, including, President, Treasurer, and Certification Chair. Peter has also served proudly on the International Certification & Reciprocity Committee (IC&RC) Board. The IC&RC is the oversiting body of the WVCBAPP. Peter served on the Executive Committee of the IC&RC Board as the Finance Chair member.

L. Douglas Houck, LPC, NCC, AADC We are very happy to welcome Doug back to Callahan Counseling Services.
Doug is a National Board Certified Counselor and he is a Licensed Professional Counselor an Advanced Alcohol and Drug Counselor in the state of West Virginia. He obtained his undergraduate RBA degree, with a concentration in Psychology, from Shepherd College and his Masters degree in Counseling from West Virginia University. During his twenty-five years of clinical experience, he has worked in the community, hospital and private sectors providing mental health and addiction services. His past experiences include working as the clinical director of a 24-bed adult addictions rehabilitation facility, serving as the administrator of a county-wide mental health clinic, coordinating a hospital-based intensive outpatient program, and practicing as a private practice clinician in Martinsburg, WV for six years. Prior to entering the mental health and addictions field in 1989, Doug worked for Mack Trucks for seventeen years as a Materials Test Engineer. Doug is a native of Martinsburg and he and his wife live locally.

Dr. John Aldis, MD, MPH&TM. is a Family Practice physician living in Jefferson County. After graduation from the University of Kansas School of Medicine he completed his internship at Gorgas Hospital in the Panama Canal Zone before serving nine years on overseas tours in the U.S. Navy in the Philippines, Taiwan, and Guam and also completing his Family Practice Residency training in Jacksonville, FL, becoming board-certified in Family Medicine following that training. He then joined the U.S. Foreign Service and served 18 years as a U.S. Embassy physician on tours in Mali, Indonesia, Nigeria, and China as well as completing his Master’s Degree in Public Health and Tropical Medicine at the Tulane School of Public Health.
After moving back into his boyhood home in 2001, Dr. Aldis served ten years as the volunteer Medical Director for the Free Clinic in Ranson. He also worked five years in the vaccine research program at Fort Detrick, five years in a contract clinical research position for NIH, and one year in the Home Based Primary Care Program at the Martinsburg Veterans Administration Hospital.
While living in the Eastern Panhandle Dr. Aldis has become increasingly concerned about the problem of substance abuse (particularly heroin addiction), and he hopes to work collaboratively with counsellors and social workers in the area to provide care for patients with this and related medical problems. He holds an FDA waiver to prescribe buprenorphine (Suboxone) for patients who need this medication to treat heroin addiction.

Faith Hanshew, LGSW, ADC is a Licensed Graduate Social Worker, licensed in West Virginia. Faith is an Alcohol and Drug Counselor through the the WV Certification Board of Addiction and Prevention Professionals. Faith began her career working with medication-assisted treatment programs and grew passionate about working with individuals battling substance use disorders. Faith has worked in the human service field for over a decade and brings a wealth of knowledge and experience to the Callahan Counseling Services. Faith performed her graduate practicum at the Eastern Panhandle Care Clinic and supported a holistic medical care model. Faith also has prior experience working with the WV DUI Safety & Treatment Program to rehabilitate DUI offenders.

Allison Keeney, BSW, LSW Allison is a licensed social worker who joined our team in 2013 as the Socially Necessary Services Coordinator. She has been serving the public for the past six years, 5 of which is specific to the social services field. Allison has held many positions in her career including serving as a community services student in the foster care system, a co-facilitator in an adult care facility, and a foster care coordinator. Her diverse experience brings a wealth of knowledge to her department and she has proven to be a great asset to the Callahan Counseling team.

Judy Ott, LSW Has been involved with helping families gain the knowledge and skills to live a better quality of life for many years. Judy came to Callahan Counseling Services affter she retired from West Virginia Depart of Health and Human Services.
Susan Callahan, BA Susan joined the Callahan Counseling Services team in 2013 as a Parent Coach and Mentor, where she provides education, practical life skills, and support to families involved in the child protective system. Prior to joining our team Susan had 23 years experience working with the public, most recently working with distressed homeowners to prevent foreclosure of their homes. She holds a BA from Shepherd University in Liberal Arts with a concentration in History and Art. Susan has been accepted into West Virginia University School of Social Work and is currently working towards her Master's Degree in Social Work.
Susan is the mother of three boys. She is an active member of the community where she holds seats on boards of the Shenandoah Women’s Center and the charitable organization, Saint Vincent DePaul Society. Susan also volunteers at Antietam National Battlefield in Sharpsburg, MD.

Ana Finney, LGSW: Ana has been working in the Mental Health Field for 15 years, helping teens, adults and families live better, more fulfilling lives. Ana began her career working with adolescents struggling with substance use and living in transitional settings, such as Poplar Springs Hospital, Witz End Young Adult Outreach, and Grafton Schools. Her career has included group and individual counseling with a focus on Cognitive Behavioral Therapy and Mindfulness. Ana also advocates for impoverished and homeless individuals/groups through creating and implementing community programs, as well as promoting and supporting social policies. Ana has worked in orphanages and Romany camps in her country of origin, Romania. She completed her internships in the Eastern Panhandle at Catholic Charities, Immanuel House, Faith Community Coalition for the Homeless and Jefferson County Coalition for the Homeless.

Kristy Cook, MSW, LGSW, AADC Callahan Counseling Services is lucky to have Kristy completing her hours for licensure. Kristy is doing fantastic in the DUI program. Kristy, a Masters in Social Work graduated magna cumlaude from Fordham University in 2007. She has worked for 10 years with Children and Families. Kristy has experience working with addictions. Kristy currently works in Maryland at a behavioral health facility. We are proud of Kristy's recent passing of her West Virginia Certification Board of Addictions Prevention Proffesional exam of Advanced Alcohol and Drug Counselor (AADC).
