Giselle Perry, LPC, NCC, ALPS:  We are anxiously awaiting Giselle's employment here.  Giselle will be starting soon.   Giselle is a Licensed Professional Counselor in West Virginia and Virginia with more than 20 years of experience in both the public and private sectors.  She attended Marshall University for undergraduate studies majoring in Psychology and Biology with a minor in Spanish Literature and later pursued a Masters of Education from George Mason University concentrating in Community Mental Health.

Her clinical experience includes working with adults, children/adolescents, families and couples who struggle with a variety of issues including:  addiction, dual diagnosis, mood disorders, anxiety, trauma and other challenges.  Giselle is also a bilingual therapist able to provide therapy in Spanish.  She has a strong background and understanding of culturally sensitive issues such as acculturation and immigration.

Giselle’s therapeutic philosophy tends to be gentle, natural and genuine, embracing the person as a whole - biologically, psychologically and socially.  Her approach to therapy is eclectic believing that there is no "one size fits all" modality to treatment.  She utilizes her experience and training and tailors an approach based on one’s current needs.  Giselle believes that therapy can be a tool to help individuals achieve growth, identify goals, work effectively toward those goals, and improve the overall quality of life.

Personal growth and change may be painless and prompt at times, but may also be slow and frustrating.  Clients are encouraged to comment or ask questions regarding progress, at any time.
